Spotlight on Orange 6.26.23
The chakra system, aka the human energy system, has so many correlations that I’ve spent a lifetime amassing and thinking through which make sense to me. One of the ideas that makes the most sense to me is that chakras are awakened at certain times of your life.
Today, we’ll focus on the Second Orange Sacral Chakra, the one that lives just below your belly button.
Its basic purpose is to handle Emotion.
Its keyword is Feeling.
Its primary verb is I Feel.
It gives you the right to … Feel.
Given just those minor correspondences in the list above, does it not make complete sense that the Second Chakra develops most between the ages of 8 and 14?
Isn’t that what anyone new to incarnation is doing during those years? Learning to navigate their own emotional reality. How to identify a feeling. How to act upon a feeling. How not to act upon a feeling. How to interpret a feeling. How to communicate a feeling. How to … feel.
Of course. In fact, those second seven years could be considered a crash course in Passion 101.
How well and how safely these aspects of the self develop affect the entire experience of the rest of your life.
If you know you have feeling issues — things you learned that you’d like to unlearn, or things you never learned that you’d like to learn — one of the easiest ways to do that is to spend some quiet time just looking deeply at the image in this post.
That saturated orange can help to fill in any gaps and remove any inaccuracies. Even better … all the while bypassing the stories you tell yourself and others about why. The color is energy, and it will change your energy.
One of the most important things about the chakras, if not the most important, is that they are meant to work together, all together. All the time.
Here is where chakras come from: When a being incarnates, there is a burst of brilliant light. I’d call that The Divine Spark. It animates all your systems. If you’ll view that burst of light, that Divine Spark, through a prism, you will see the eight major chakras.
Next time you’re struggling in a situation where your feelings feel threatened, note your behaviors, be kind to your inner 8–14-year-old, wear orange, and meditate on the image. See if that doesn’t help you toward inner peace.
