Seventh Violet Crown Chakra

Yes, we’ll get to the Seventh Violet Crown Chakra, but first, let’s talk about color.

The usual assumption in life is that when I say the word violet as a descriptor, the person to whom I am speaking knows what what violet is. If we were both looking at the image above, we would both know.

If you think about it, though, there are an awful lot of violets, no?

Do I mean: violet as in violets? Eggplant? Blue corn chip? Violet going toward indigo? Or violet going toward rose? It’s a lot to think about!

In terms of chakras, we have to think about color in terms of light, not pigment. Chakras are part of Energy Medicine; their colors have to have an energetic basis.

The violet above is the one I chose after much deliberation as the best digital one for the seventh chakra. If I were to go for violet pigment, the color would be slightly different, more toward a deeper violet, but that’s for another day.

Calm the mind, by invoking faith.

Too much violet can make you a zealot, and, especially when fear about faith is added into the equation, make one a fanatic.

Violet controls the free-flow of your own ability to know that there is always a way in this life here on Earth. This is a gift we all have, but when it comes to using our faith for ourselves, humanity can be woefully behind. Who else could it be for if not you?
