Quality of Life is Yours to Choose

Here’s another emoji: an actual rainbow. Its creators named it: Life.

Well, doesn’t that say it? Life is a rainbow, or it ought to be. It’s up to us to see the myriad colors of life that surround us. We also have the capacity to decolorize it. What makes the difference?

Our attitude. How we think about life affects the quality of our lives plain and simple. Which is why it’s worth learning to think about what you’re thinking. Another way to say that might be: to witness what you’re thinking.

Very few of us know that we have a choice about what to think about and how we think about it. Mostly we think, that’s just the way I am. Not so.

Your thoughts create your feelings, and your feelings create your quality of life.

I always find it interesting that most “commercial” rainbows like this one have only six colors. There’s one missing: turquoise — the color of the 5th chakra, the one that allows us to speak our truth, and to ask for what we want.

Do you suppose it’s a deliberate form of silencing? I hope not, but it wouldn’t surprise me if it is. Subliminal messaging has been the subject of study for decades. Maybe these commercial rainbows meaning life are meant to keep us quiet?

Instead, Beloved, take my advice and sketch in a turquoise row between the green and the indigo, then express yourself, your truth, and your desires wherever and whenever you can. You get to create your own quality of life. What’ll it be?
