Yes, we’ll get to the Fifth Turquoise Throat Chakra, but first, let’s talk about color.

The usual assumption in life is that when I say the word turquoise as a descriptor, the person to whom I am speaking knows what what turquoise is. If we were both looking at the image above, we would both know.

If you think about it, though, there are an awful lot of turquoises, no?

Do I mean: turquoise as in the gemstone? Green turquoise or Blue turquoise? Teal? Peacock eye turquoise? Turquoise going toward green? Or turquoise going toward indigo? It’s a lot to think about!

In terms of chakras, we have to think about color in terms of light, not pigment. Chakras are part of Energy Medicine; their colors have to have an energetic basis.

The turquoise above is the one I chose after much deliberation as the best digital one for the fifth chakra. If I were to go for turquoise pigment, the color would be slightly different, more toward a deeper turquoise, but that’s for another day.

Too much turquoise can give you a sore throat, or tinnitus, or ear infections.

Turquoise controls the free-flow of your sense of your own ability to create. These are gifts we all have, but when it comes to co-creating a life with the Divine, it comes down to turquoise working through your fears and resistances gently and easily.

Often people conjure turquoise for: soothing painful throats, promoting creativity, strengthening the vocal apparatus, balancing strong earth energies, cooling burns, sleep, headaches, decreasing swelling and all inflammation, building vitality, and in careful concert with red: for clearing acute infections of all kinds. Turquoise is the energetic equivalent of creativity itself. Use it to return to your abilities again and again as starting from the awareness of your own abilities always paves the way to success after success.
