Eighth Rose Thymus Chakra

Yes, we’ll get to the Eighth Rose Thymus Chakra, but first, let’s talk about color.

The usual assumption in life is that when I say the word rose as a descriptor, the person to whom I am speaking knows what what rose is. If we were both looking at the image above, we would both know.

If you think about it, though, there are an awful lot of roses, no?

Do I mean: rose as in pink roses? Sunrise rose? Bubblegum? Rose going toward violet? Or rose going toward red? It’s a lot to think about!

In terms of chakras, we have to think about color in terms of light, not pigment. Chakras are part of Energy Medicine; their colors have to have an energetic basis.

The rose above is the one I chose after much deliberation as the best digital one for the eighth chakra. If I were to go for rose pigment, the color would be slightly different, more toward a deeper rose, but that’s for another day.

No matter what shade of rose you’re using, it can ..

Release imbalances in all systems
Foster the release of old karma and old relationship, old resentments, old hurts
Help to clear clutter on all levels — body, heart, mind, spirit.

The Grace of the Eighth Rose Thymus Chakra is Compassion.

Summon rose when you want to …

Bathe a situation in Impersonal Love.
Remember your spiritual self.
Offer compassion to those who suffer.
Take a neutral view of a situation.

Beware that …

Too much rose can make you seem impersonal, and uncaring.

Rose controls the free-flow of your own immunity in this world — emotional, mental, and spiritual immunity. This is a gift we all have, but when it comes to using our immunity for ourselves, humanity can be woefully behind. Who else could it be for if not you?

Use rose for chronic illness, for acute crisis, and for general well-being at any time. (*And caveat emptor: this is not medical advice — it’s energy advice.)

Roseis the energetic equivalent of kindness itself. Use it to return to your own state of inner peace again and again as you begin to break the hypnosis of suffering under which most of us strive.

Blessèd weekend.
