Leslie Temple-Thurston is the author of a book called Keys to Ascension. These next chakra teachings were inspired by her work.

Let me remind you that the most important thing about the chakras is that they are a system. They’re meant to work together as a system.

One of the major areas of differing chakra theories, once we’ve divided and conquered them, so to speak, is what happens between each chakra.

Remember the color list? Here it is again:

Red>RedOrange>Orange>OrangeYellow>Yellow>YellowGreen>Green>GreenTurquoise>Turquoise>TurquoiseIndigo>Indigo>IndigoViolet>Violet>VioletRose>Rose>RoseRed

The Keys to Ascension are revisited here in the order of the chakra system.

This chakra in-between occurs above the Fourth Green Heart Chakra, and the Fifth Turquoise Throat Chakra.

The belief that lives between Third and Fourth is: Not my will but thine.

The In-Between color is GreenTurquoise.

The Grace of the Fourth Green Heart Chakra is Love. The Grace of the Fifth Turquoise Throat Chakra is Creativity.

These five words pack a huge punch, whether you have a connection to whatever your version of divinity is, or not. They imply that there is a place for you in the universe, one that is uniquely yours, and that no one else can fill. Further, they imply that there is a Greater Will than your own.

If you want to think of that as God’s Will, and you’re comfortable there, perfect. But if you’re not … could you see these words as implying an inherent quality of loyalty to a cause, and that said cause has a will of its own?

The most important thing is to understand that there is an implicate Order in creation, and that the same Order includes you. You belong here, otherwise you wouldn’t be here.

When you feel repeatedly thwarted in life, that’s when it’s time to wonder if insisting on your own will in a given circumstance is actually too small a goal. Spend a day or so letting go your own will in whatever you’re facing and ask for guidance.

There is no problem that cannot be solved with a new idea. Not one. You just have to get still and silent enough to catch it.
