As part of the suite of illustrations I commissioned for the Chakra Correspondence Compendium, Victoria Davies created these body images; I added the chakra labels on Canva.

I work with eight major chakras: the classical seven of Hindu origin from Root to Crown: red, orange, yellow, green, turquoise, indigo, violet; and the eighth Thymus chakra: rose pink.

The metaphysical locales of each energy sphere correspond to physical locales in each body. Like this:

Red Root Chakra lives near the perineum.

Orange Sacral Chakra lives just under the belly button.

Yellow Solar Chakra lives by the diaphragm.

Green Heart Chakra lives by the physical heart.

Turquoise Throat Chakra lives near the larynx.

Indigo Brow Chakra lives between and a little above and behind the eyebrows.

Violet Crown Chakra lives at the fontanel at the top of the head.

Rose Thymus Chakra lives about six inches in front of the center of your sternum.

Tomorrow, we visit the endocrine glands to which they correspond.

For today, though, see if you can sense color or energy in each of these places in your own body. The first rule of chakra work is: Pay Attention To Your Own.
