Chakra Integration: First Red Root — less/MORES

Integrating chakra work, which is really energy work, into your everyday life is simple.

There are eight major chakras that form the basis of the human energy system. Seven of them sit as 3D spheres in front of the spine and trace the colors of the rainbow from Red to Violet. The 8th chakra is Rose and is located in front of the thymus gland outside the body.

Below is the chart/cheat sheet I created as a reminder of how to work with each chakra. Its components are listed below.

If you’ve followed my work in these pages, you know that the most important point about the chakra system is that it’s a system. The eight major chakras are all meant to speak to one another in a never-ending infinity of energetic exchange.

The details for all the major Chakras appear in the image above. They are: Where in the Body, Endocrine Gland/s, Number for Mind, Grace, Gift, For, By, and Spirit Statement.

The last two columns constitute Praxis for each chakra, which I call the less/MORES. Here’s why:

One practice is something to do less of.

One practice is something to do more of.

The reason is simple: Human beings do not NOT do things well, and I can prove it.

Whatever you do, don’t think about the Statue of Liberty? (It probably took less than a second for her to show up in your mind.

So for the First Red Root Chakra:

complain less/THANK MORE

The less/MORES can be experienced both internally and externally. Like this:

Okay, who’s complaining? Is it you? Is it out loud? To others? Or inside your head? Who/what is it about? Do you know why? Do you know its originating, precipitating event? Let’s say it’s external. Your whole work team is whinging and moaning all the live long day about some change or other. Okay. That’s external.

What to do? Begin to notice what’s right (instead of what’s wrong) and to single out and thank each person for something specific — including yourself. [This is what bathroom mirrors are for …] As you model this behavior, the behavior of your team will change. See if it doesn’t!

Complain less means hush up your inner critic. Is he/she helping? Really? No one I know feels happy in the face of their inner critic. Put her/him down for a nap. Focus on complaint shuts down your ability to receive by filling up the space with what you don’t want.

Thank more means switch your emotional thermostat to gratitude. You can always find one thing to be grateful for, even if it’s just your next breath, or your big toe. Focus on gratitude creates momentum for good things to happen and keep happening.

These less/MORES are basic chakra practices that activate the best in each chakra, and deactivate what isn’t helpful.

The more ways you can become familiar with these practices, the better. In a way, they’re like energetic back-up plans.

Managing your energy goes a long way toward shifting habits, managing moods, cleaning up reactivity, and self-understanding which leads to greater confidence.

You’re not looking for chakra work to take over your life. You’re looking for it to undergird your life, like a program that’s always running in the background. Which is exactly what it’s already doing.

Working at the level of energy is so much more efficient than working from outside in. When you source the energetic cause behind whatever is showing up in your life, and change that, the outer form will change. No exceptions.

Once again, as part of my one-woman campaign to spread this vital information about the human energy system, I created a Compendium of information on the chakra system. You will never find it in a bookstore or online, but you can, for a donation, request a copy here.

Remember, when in doubt about how to handle something in your experience, you can always use the frequency of color, which is what the chakra system is all about.

Blessèd week.
