You will recall … we are working toward creating a single sentence that embodies each chakra’s essence. They all begin: Because I receive [Grace,] I give [Gift] (see the past several posts).

The next piece of the equation answers two questions simultaneously. Namely, Where and Why. Efficient, isn’t it?

Where is all about the realm in which most of the effects of each chakra occurs. The realm, or area of your life, is also the why: because each realm holds a desirable goal for everyone.

So let us continue with the 4th Green Heart Chakra and build out our single sentence.

Because I receive Love, I give Connection for Intimacy …

Intimacy comes from Late Latin roots meaning inmost or to impress. It means that we’re not only talking about connection, but about connection enough to make an impression. Stop to think about it for a minute, Intimacy really is broad, or it ought to be. Confining it to a handshake or a hug seems a little short-sighted. Consider that you are a fourfold being: Body, Heart, Mind, Spirit.

What is, then … Body Intimacy, Heart Intimacy, Mind Intimacy, Spirit Intimacy? How does each manifest in your life?

Body Intimacy can certainly mean a body that isn’t necessarily appreciated or relished, but it can also mean a body that is as familiar and cozy as a favorite pair of jeans, and a body that gives its inhabitant buckets of pleasure. Both ways are available to you. It’s a choice.

Heart Intimacy can certainly mean a heart whose wisdom isn’t prioritized, but it can also mean a heart that is aware of a multitude of ways and means to connect with others at all different levels of knowing and being known.

Mind Intimacy can certainly mean a mind that isn’t developed or heeded, but it can also mean a mind that loves nothing better than an intellectual connection with others interested in our interests. Again, it’s all choices.

Spirit Intimacy can certainly mean a core that isn’t honored, but it can also mean a core essence that is intimately connected to its own Divinity, and to what I call The God of the Alps — the Divinity that is always bigger than any problem.

See? Much more complicated than you originally thought. And we haven’t even touched romance or sex! This is well worth thinking about, Beloved. We all do want Intimacy on one level or another, as in a way of life in which we are able to see and be truly seen, and we want it because it makes life richer which is a good enough reason.

Monday, we’ll explore the 5th Turquoise Throat Chakra.
