As The World Turns: Red, Again
The chakra system, aka the human energy system, has so many correlations that I’ve spent a lifetime amassing and thinking through which make sense to me. One of the ideas that makes the most sense to me is that chakras are awakened at certain times of your life.
Today, we’ll focus on the First Red Root Chakra, the one that lives at the base of your spine.
Its basic purpose is to handle Survival.
Its keyword is Awareness.
Its primary verb is I Live.
It gives you the right to … Be Here.
Given just those minor correspondences in the list above, does it not make complete sense that the First Chakra develops most between the ages of 1 and 7? It does.
And we revisit that First Red Root Chakra between the ages of 57–63!
For the 1–7 age group, thats what anyone new to incarnation is doing during those years. Learning to function here. How to live in a body. How to work with the laws of nature. How to communicate. How to … survive. In fact, those first seven years could be considered a crash course in Living 101.
But what about the First Chakra Return, if you will? What are we revisiting then? Think, Beloved. By the time of this recycle, aren’t you examining the basic conclusions you made about life at that very young age? Aren’t you looking back and looking forward, wondering what Living means to you at this point?
How well and how safely these aspects of the self develop affect the entire experience of the rest of your life whether you’re 1–7 or 57–63.
If you know you have survival issues — things you learned that you’d like to unlearn, or things you never learned that you’d like to learn — one of the easiest ways to do that is to spend some quiet time just looking deeply at the image in this post.
That saturated red can help to fill in any gaps and remove any inaccuracies. Even better … all the while bypassing the stories you tell yourself and others about why. The color is energy, and it will change your energy.
One of the most important things about the chakras, if not the most important, is that they are meant to work together, all together. All the time.
Here is where chakras come from: When a being incarnates, there is a burst of brilliant light. I’d call that The Divine Spark. It animates all your systems. If you’ll view that burst of light, that Divine Spark, through a prism, you will see the eight major chakras.
Next time you’re struggling in a situation where your survival feels threatened, note your behaviors, be kind to your inner 57–63-year-old, wear red, and meditate on the image. See if that doesn’t help you toward inner peace.
